President, MP, Judge Cannot Be Vaccinated: Ministry
The Ministry of Justice has issued a statement explaining that it is not possible to apply vaccination certificates or the rule of dismissal from work for failing to present a PCR test to certain officials.
According to the statement, “The reason is as follows: for example, members of the National Assembly are elected by the people, the President of the Republic and the Human Rights Defender are appointed by the National Assembly, and members of independent bodies, etc. On the other hand, the powers of judges are terminated only on limited grounds provided by the Constitution, and the Prime Minister, appointed as a result of constitutional processes, essentially does not have a superior body that would dismiss or appoint them to that position, and so on. Therefore, even if there is a desire, it will not be possible to apply this consequence to the aforementioned individuals, meaning they cannot be dismissed from their work on this basis.”
