Investigation Underway Over Azerbaijani Forces Firing in the Direction of Taghavard

The Investigation Committee of the Republic of Artsakh has launched proceedings regarding the shelling of the village of Taghavard by Azerbaijani armed forces. This information has been reported by the Artsakh Investigation Committee.

On September 6, 2021, at approximately 19:40, a shooting incident occurred from the Azerbaijani military positions located near the village of Taghavard in the Martuni region of Artsakh. Unidentified individuals fired in a public danger manner, motivated by national hatred, with the intent to cause significant property damage, targeting the village and damaging the house of a resident born in 1991. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 33-191, parts 2, points 1 and 4 of the Artsakh Criminal Code. The investigation is ongoing.
