What to Expect for Citizens Without Vaccination or Testing Papers: Romella Abovyan

“Individuals who have contracted the virus within the last 90 days can be exempt from testing and vaccination,” stated Romella Abovyan, head of the Infectious and Non-Infectious Disease Epidemiology Division at the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of Armenia, during a press conference today.

“Addressing the 43 deaths reported due to coronavirus yesterday, Abovyan noted that the deceased were primarily individuals of middle age, including those with chronic conditions. ‘In many cases, these individuals seek medical assistance too late, each of them believing they are not infected with coronavirus and only approach healthcare when in severe or critical condition,’ Abovyan remarked, highlighting that citizens also delay testing until their lungs are significantly affected.”
