Armenia Can Leave Baku and Ankara Empty-Handed in Their Own Trap, Says Iran Expert

Iranian expert Vardan Voskanyan writes: “A situation has developed in our region where Baku and Ankara, by investing a significant portion of their military capital in the so-called 'Turanian Corridor' (the dictator in Baku calls it 'Zangezur', Turkey refers to it as 'Nakhchivan'), may not only fail to achieve it but also find themselves in a geopolitical deadlock.

It is evident that the 'Turanian Corridor' has raised concerns not only for Iran but also for India. Therefore, at least these two regional powers will do everything possible to ensure that the Iranian Persian Gulf - Black Sea and Indian North-South geopolitical and economic major projects are implemented precisely through Armenian territory, of which there have already been official announcements.

Accordingly, by definitively thwarting the idea of the 'Turanian Corridor' and realizing the aforementioned projects, Armenia can significantly improve its geopolitical position in our region and leave the belligerent regimes of Baku and Ankara empty-handed in their own outlined trap.

This is why every piece of land in Armenia's Syunik region is so crucial, as the dictator in Baku is creating obstacles on the Goriss-Kapan road section in Vorotan to prevent Iran and India from implementing these projects.

Nothing is definitive in our region yet, and thus, with fearful and defeatist approaches, we only assist the enemy, which, paradoxically, understands better than us what recovery opportunities Armenia has, and thus seeks to stabilize the current situation as soon as possible.”
