“With God’s help, and also with the support of friendly Russia, we will be able to overcome this trial,” says Garegin II
The Supreme Patriarch of All Armenians, Garegin II, believes that Armenia will overcome difficult times with the support of Russia and the Russian Orthodox Church. According to RIA Novosti, the patriarch made this statement during a meeting with Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
Garegin II also noted that the Armenian Apostolic Church and the people have always felt the support of the leader of the Russian Orthodox Church.
“Today is a difficult time for our people and our country. We believe that with God’s help and through our faith, as well as the support of friendly countries, primarily the Russian Federation, we will be able to overcome this trial,” said Garegin II.
As previously reported, Patriarch Kirill is meeting with Garegin II and Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh of the Caucasian Muslims Board on October 12 and 13 in Moscow. A trilateral meeting of the three spiritual leaders is also scheduled for October 13.
