Venezuela's Airport to Accept Payments in Cryptocurrency

The Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, Venezuela, will accept payments in DASH, BTC, and the state-backed Petro cryptocurrency for airline tickets.

According to local media reports, the new measure will comply with the requirements of the Office of Crypto Assets and Related Activities. Airport Director Freddy Borges highlighted that the facility has already begun to adapt its payment system, and in the near future, customers will be able to pay for airline tickets and other airport services with cryptocurrency.

As one of the most significant airports in the country, Borges emphasized the importance of integrating cutting-edge tools into the system.
