Texas Employees Will Not Be Required to Get Covid-19 Vaccinated

The governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, has prohibited private companies from requiring their employees to be vaccinated against the coronavirus. This was reported by Kommersant.

The executive order, published on the governor's website, applies to all legal entities and specifically their customers.

“Vaccination is considered the best and most effective protection against the coronavirus; however, it must be voluntary and never mandated,” stated Abbott on his website.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Texas is one of four states in the U.S. with the highest rates of COVID-19 cases.
