During the match against the Armenian national team, a Romanian fan was in the VIP section, where he threw a beer can at the Armenian delegation and shouted insults. This was reported by Haik Karapetyan, head of the Public Relations and Media Department of the Football Federation of Armenia, during a post-match press conference, as noted by Armsport.am.

It is worth mentioning that in the middle of the second half, the main referee, Daniele Orsato, showed a red card to Joaquin Caparros's Spanish assistant, Luciano Martin Toscano, removing him from the technical area.

“The disciplinary committee will conduct its investigation and make a decision. But we are very 'satisfied' with your hospitality. It was 'very good' hospitality,” said Haik Karapetyan, emphasizing that there were organizational problems and that the security service did not perform its duties at a satisfactory level.
