Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Yerevan
On October 12, a fatal pedestrian accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 1:10 PM, a Nissan Tiida vehicle struck a middle-aged woman pedestrian in front of 8/1 Atoyan Street under circumstances that are still unclear, then veered off the roadway and collided with a concrete electric pole.
According to reports from the scene by shamshyan.com, the pedestrian died on the spot, while the driver was transported to the Erebuni Medical Center. The emergency response team from Yerevan’s 1-03 ambulance service acted swiftly.
Police and the investigative department are working to determine the identities of the deceased and the driver. Following an investigator's instructions, the vehicle was taken to the storage area of the Patrol Service's Yerevan unit.
Representatives from the Electric Networks of Armenia also promptly arrived to perform necessary actions to replace the damaged electric pole.
