Missing Man Found Dead Near Chichkhan River

On October 8, 2021, at 21:30, a resident of Spitak reported to the Lori regional department of the RA Police that her brother had left home and had not returned. The Investigative Committee of Armenia provided further details.

“The next day, at 10:30, the body of the aforementioned man was discovered near the banks of the Chichkhan River, close to a bridge on Sayat Nova Street in the same city, showing skull fractures. In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated in the Spitak investigative division of the Lori regional investigative directorate under Article 104, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code.

Investigations of the crime scene and the body have been conducted, and a forensic examination of the body has been scheduled. Orders have been issued to the investigation body. A preliminary investigation is underway,” the statement reads.
