Dispute Escalates to Stabbing Incident

On October 4, a stabbing incident occurred at the intersection of Atarbekyan and Andranik streets in Artashat. Two men had an argument, engaged in a physical struggle, and then one of them stabbed the other.

According to the police, information about the incident was received from the hospital. Around 4:30 PM, a duty nurse reported that a 27-year-old man had come in for medical assistance with a stab wound to the back.

The crime was solved the day after it occurred through operational means. Following inquiries aimed at discovering eyewitnesses, criminal investigators learned that the victim had been injured by a 53-year-old resident of Atarbekyan street in Artashat.

As a result of explanatory work, the suspect presented himself to the Artashat police station on October 5, bringing along the knife used in the attack.

A criminal case has been opened at the Ararat Regional Investigative Department regarding the incident. The circumstances are being clarified as part of the investigation.
