Karekin II to Meet Religious Leaders of Russia and Azerbaijan in Moscow
His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, has departed for a two-day visit to Moscow today. The information was reported by the information system of the Mother See.
Karekin II will meet with Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia in the Russian capital and will participate in a trilateral meeting of spiritual leaders of the region.
His Holiness is accompanied by Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisyan, the Director of the External Relations and Protocol Department of the Mother See, Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan, the Primate of the Artsakh Diocese, Father Shahe Ananyan, the Director of the Inter-Church Relations Department and the Supervisor of the Gevorkian Theological Seminary, member of the Supreme Spiritual Council, Dr. Gevorg Danielyan, and Father Vahram Melikyan, the Director of the Catholicosal Office of the Mother See.
Earlier, Azerbaijani media reported that a meeting of the spiritual leaders of Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan was expected.
