Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverage Prices Rise by 15.4% in Armenia
In the consumer market of Armenia, the annual inflation rate has reached 8.9%, with a recorded deflation of 0.1% compared to the previous month. This information is derived from the data published by the Statistical Committee.
Specifically, in September 2021, a 15.4% increase in food and non-alcoholic beverage prices was registered compared to September 2020. The vegetable group saw a staggering 64.5% rise in prices compared to the same month last year. Conversely, the fruit category experienced a 3% decline in prices compared to last September.
Furthermore, meat products recorded a 9% increase, while the bread, baked goods, and grains category saw a 9.5% rise. The dairy products, cheese, and eggs group also registered a 10% increase in prices.
