Erdogan Is in a Panic, He Will Self-Destruct: Sadettin Tantan
Former Turkish Interior Minister Sadettin Tantan has advised the country's political opposition not to engage in debates with the leader of the Justice and Development Party (AKP), Recep Tayyip Erdogan. According to Ermenihaber, he simply stated that if the opposition does not speak up, Erdogan will self-destruct.
This was reported by Turkish newspaper Sözcü's journalist Saygı Öztürk, who shared excerpts from his conversation with Tantan.
“If the opposition does not speak up, the head of the AKP will self-destruct. He is currently in a panic. He seeks support from the West and lives under the illusion of a caliphate. He has accumulated immense wealth, yet he knows he will not be able to enjoy it. It is only the leaders and spokesmen of the opposition parties who keep him on his feet,” Tantan emphasized.
The former minister also noted that there is a power struggle within the AKP. He specifically highlighted that when Erdogan tells the opposition “do not aspire to power,” he is actually sending a message to his party colleagues as well. According to Tantan, Erdogan is indicating that they should not distance themselves from him, as no one can take power away from him.
