Israeli Soldiers Open Fire on Palestinians, Casualties Reported

Palestinians have taken to the streets in protests against the establishment of new Jewish settlements and are demanding an end to the confiscation of Palestinian land. As a result of clashes between Israeli soldiers and Palestinians in the West Bank, 74 Palestinians have been injured. This was reported to journalists by the Palestinian Red Crescent.

"Today, 74 Palestinians were injured in clashes with Israelis near the towns of Beita and Beit Dajan, close to Nablus in the West Bank," the statement read.

The Israeli military's press service informed РИА Новости that soldiers responded to the unrest which began near the Givat Evitar outpost south of Nablus. "During the unrest, about 200 Palestinians burned tires and threw stones at IDF soldiers, who responded with live fire to disperse the crowd," the statement noted.
