VIDEO: First Footage Released from Batumi Building Collapse

First footage from the Batumi building collapse has been released. As previously reported, a residential building collapsed in Batumi, Georgia.

Eyewitnesses report that an explosion preceded the building's collapse. Special equipment is operating at the scene, with police and medical personnel also present. Rescuers are extracting people from under the rubble.

According to local sources, two individuals, a woman and a child aged 6-7, were rescued from a vehicle that was trapped under the debris. It is reported that about 10 vehicles remained under the rubble, which were parked adjacent to the building. According to Georgian media, 12 buildings have collapsed in total.

There are casualties and injuries; however, their numbers have not yet been disclosed. Citizens have joined the rescue efforts.

Reports also indicate that two girls trapped under the building debris have called for help from rescuers. Currently, there is no information regarding their health condition.
