The Idea of the 'Zangezour Corridor' is Buried at This Stage Due to Iranian Pressure, Says Iranologist
Iranologist Vardan Voskanyan's comment:
“Many believe that the so-called 'Zangezour Corridor' is simply a means to satisfy the ideological cravings of the Erdoğan and Aliyev administrations, linking the so-called 'one nation, two states' through land. However, beyond the ideological component, we are dealing with highly ambitious geopolitical and economic aspirations aimed at ensuring Turkey's access to the Caspian and Central Asian territories. If successful, the injection of new and extremely rich human, economic, and political resources would allow Turkey, the product of Kemalist nationalist plans, to genuinely aspire to the status of a transnational Turkic superpower—a grand Turan. It is evident that the Azerbaijani-Turkish illusion of reaching this so-called 'Zangezour' or, in reality, 'Turan Corridor' through force is currently buried due to Iranian active operations and effective pressure. At this stage, only the forceful method is closed, therefore, it is clear that the cunning political strategy of the 'doves of peace' will be initiated, which, upon close inspection, makes it impossible not to notice the grotesque muzzle of the 'gray wolf' emerging from various corners.
