New Details Regarding the Cancellation of the Yerevan-Sheremetyevo-Yerevan Flight

Georgi Khachatryan, the deputy director of Armenia airline, provides new details about the cancellation of flight NGT 932/931 from Yerevan to Sheremetyevo and back.

“To clarify about the cancellation of flight NGT 932/931 from Yerevan to Sheremetyevo, it should be noted that before the flight took place, the aircraft's crew discovered a technical issue during pre-flight checks. For safety reasons, the captain decided to cancel the flight, guided solely by the professional assessments of himself and the technical staff. A total of 240 passengers were scheduled to fly to Moscow and back on this flight.

Tickets for 110 passengers have already been changed to the next flights of Armenia airline. Tickets for 86 other passengers have been purchased on flights with other airlines. Refunds for the tickets have been given to 15 passengers, while our staff continues to stay in contact with 29 passengers, awaiting their final decisions.

All additional expenses related to the flight—including COVID-19 testing, hotel accommodations, and all transportation costs—are being covered by the airline. Other speculations on this matter are inappropriate.
