Record Death Toll from COVID-19 Registered in Russia

In Russia, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases has increased by 27,550 in a single day, reaching a total of 7,690,110, the federal operational headquarters for combating the new infection reported to journalists on Thursday.

The number of so-called active cases, meaning the number of patients currently undergoing treatment, has risen to 677,331, according to the headquarters' message.

The number of Russians recovered from coronavirus has also increased by 20,330, totaling 6,799,230.

Meanwhile, the death toll due to the coronavirus has risen by 924 in one day, compared to 929 the previous day, bringing the total count to 213,549. The country has recorded more than 900 deaths for the second consecutive day.
