New Details on Gegham Manukyan's Assault Case

Recently, ArmLur.am learned that the Special Investigative Service (SIS) has closed the assault case involving Gegham Manukyan, a member of the Armenia alliance faction. Essentially, the SIS refrained from initiating criminal proceedings against Nikol Pashinyan, as Manukyan reported that Pashinyan was the main perpetrator of the assault.

It is worth noting that the newspaper 'Zhoghovurd' reported that the SIS made a decision regarding the assault on Gegham Manukyan that occurred on August 25 during a session of the National Assembly. According to our information, the SIS summoned Haik Sarkisyan, a member of the Civil Contract faction, for questioning before making a decision. What decision the SIS made will be known today. The issue is that, according to existing evidence, it was Sarkisyan who struck Manukyan.

Moreover, Gegham Manukyan has been once again invited to the SIS today to familiarize himself with the materials of the criminal case. Whether the SIS will forward this case to court, or, like other incidents in the National Assembly, it will be closed, will become clear today. However, judging by the testimony given by Gegham Manukyan, one thing is evident: the criminal case is likely to be dismissed.

Recall that ArmLur.am released a video showing Haik Sarkisyan assaulting Gegham Manukyan. The SIS specifically seeks testimony from Gegham Manukyan, aiming for him to testify against Haik Sarkisyan. Yet, according to our information, Manukyan has indicated to the SIS that this was mass hooliganism incited by Nikol Pashinyan.

It is evident that the legal system at the SIS will succumb to 'guts', and the investigator in charge of the criminal case will not dare to initiate proceedings against Nikol Pashinyan.
