Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Issues Statement Regarding Armenia
The head of the press service of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Leyla Abdullayeva, responded to a question regarding whether a future meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia is planned, stating that such meetings cannot be ruled out in the future.
As reported by haqqin.az, she noted that “the opening of communications and the start of negotiations on demarcation could create a healthy basis for constructive progress toward establishing stable peace in the region.”
“We consider it useful to discuss issues aimed at normalizing Armenian-Azerbaijani relations in the post-conflict period. Some time ago, a meeting took place in New York between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia. We do not rule out the possibility of such a meeting in the future,” Abdullayeva emphasized.
It is noteworthy that on September 24, a meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan took place in New York with the mediation and participation of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.
