Azerbaijan Inflicts 2.3 Million AMD Damage on Artsakh for Falsifying Documents

The National Security Service of Artsakh has reported that, as part of operational intelligence measures, it acquired operational data regarding contracts signed between the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Artsakh and a business entity. These contracts pertain to the accommodation of individuals forcibly displaced due to the war unleashed against the Republic of Artsakh in 2020, specifically related to services provided in hotels.

During the period from December 2020 to August 2021, false information was presented in official documents that hold legal significance regarding the individuals staying in the hotels. As a result, the state incurred substantial material damage amounting to approximately 2,235,000 AMD. This information was made public by the Artsakh National Security Service.

In connection with the case, the Artsakh National Security Service has initiated a criminal case under the following articles of the Artsakh Criminal Code: part 2, point 3 of Article 184 (large-scale fraud), part 1 of Article 334 (official negligence), and part 1 of Article 345 (forgery and use of official documents).
