The Opening of Communication Routes with Armenia Has Already Started: Aliyev's Statement

The opening of communication routes with Armenia has already started, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced today while receiving the newly appointed ambassador of the European Union in Baku.

“Now the most important issue is the post-war phase in the region and ensuring peace. We want to turn that page; this is our policy. We want to establish relations with our neighbor, Armenia,” Aliyev said, adding that Baku is ready to start negotiations with Yerevan regarding the signing of a peace agreement, delimitation and demarcation of borders, and the opening of communication routes.

It should be noted that information was released today indicating that Azerbaijani aircraft are conducting flights through the airspace of the Republic of Armenia.
