Exclusive Video: Camera Captures How 'Kraz' Turned 'VAZ 21014' into Scrap Metal Near Zvartnots Cathedral

The identity of the injured and drivers involved in a major car accident that occurred yesterday, October 5, near Zvartnots Cathedral in the Armavir region has been clarified during the preparation of materials by Senior Investigator Narek Petrosyan of the 1st platoon of the 2nd traffic police battalion. As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, it was established that the 'Kraz' was driven by 60-year-old Razmik Ghukasyan, a resident of Syunik province, who collided with a 'VAZ 21014' vehicle belonging to 60-year-old Babken Serobyan from Aragatsotn province, which then proceeded to crash into a 'Ford Transit' vehicle owned by 35-year-old Vigen Artashyan from Armavir province; that car then collided with a 'JC B' mini tractor owned by 48-year-old Olga Telegina from Yerevan.

As a result of the accident, B. Serobyan, V. Artashyan, and a passenger of the latter, 35-year-old A. A. from Armavir, sustained bodily injuries and were taken to the 'Vagharshapat' medical center, from which one of the injured was later transferred to the 'Astghik' medical center. SHAMSHYAN.com presents exclusive footage of how the aforementioned accident occurred, which was recorded by a nearby installed camera.

As previously reported by the photojournalist from the site, a major car accident occurred in the Armavir region on October 5. Around 11:15, a 'Kraz 250' truck collided with a 'LADA 2114' parked in a permissible area on the Yerevan-Armavir highway near Zvartnots Cathedral while heading towards Yerevan. The collision caused the 'LADA' to move forward and hit a parked 'Ford Transit' vehicle on the permissible side of the road, which then moved forward and collided with a parked mini tractor. Following the accident, three individuals were transported with bodily injuries—two to the 'Vagharshapat' medical center, and the other injured person to one of the medical centers in Yerevan.

The driver of the 'LADA 2114' was extricated from the vehicle by the Rapid Response Team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations using equipment. Quickly responding to the scene were the officers from the 1st platoon of the 2nd traffic police battalion, led by Platoon Commander Grigor Poghosyan and Squad Commander Marlen Sargsyan. The investigation work at the scene was overseen by Senior Investigator Narek Petrosyan, who was preparing materials on the facts of the case.
