Arush Arushanyan Wants to Prove 'Even While Seated, He Will Win'
According to the newspaper 'Hraparak,' Arush Arushanyan, the imprisoned mayor of Goris, is participating in the upcoming local government elections scheduled for October 17 in Goris. He is confident that he enjoys the support of the community and has jokingly asked his lawyer not to work on his release efforts until the elections, so that he can prove to the authorities that 'even while seated, he will win.'
It is noteworthy that Arush Arushanyan was detained in connection with a criminal case regarding bribery of voters in favor of the 'Armenia' alliance during the snap parliamentary elections, based on the testimony of Lusine Avetian, the head of the Karahunj community.
