We Will Be Forced to Replace One out of Every Two Teachers with New Ones: Zhanna Andreasian

The Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Zhanna Andreasian, stated on her Facebook page: “Today, around 71 million teachers around the world celebrate Teacher's Day. According to a global report published in the summer of 2021, an additional 69 million teachers are needed worldwide to ensure the right to education for all children.

According to a World Bank study, nearly half of the teachers in Armenia (46%) are over the age of 50, which means that Armenia will be forced to replace one out of every two members of the teaching staff with new ones over the next decade. The teaching profession should be one of the most respected and valued jobs.”
