Nonsense: Aliyev is Trying to Sell Us Something He Should Provide Unconditionally - Ghazinyan
It is not appropriate to have a meeting and conduct substantial negotiations with Azerbaijan regarding the settlement of the Artsakh issue at this time, as Armenia is in a rather weak position. The negotiation leverage has significantly weakened, and going into negotiations now would mean conceding serious positions and posing threats to the security and territorial integrity of Armenia and Artsakh. This was stated by Arthur Ghazinyan, a member of the Armenian National Assembly’s ‘Armenia’ faction, during a conversation with journalists.
Regarding Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement that he is prepared to take all the maps of mined areas to exchange for the release of all captives during his meeting with Aliyev, Ghazinyan described this as nonsense. He emphasized that captives should have been returned by November 11, a crucial requirement included in the trilateral statement, which Azerbaijan has not fulfilled, and Armenia has been inconsistent in ensuring the return of our citizens being held captive and killed every day.
“It turns out that Aliyev is trying to sell us something that he should provide unconditionally. The behavior of the Armenian authorities becomes incomprehensible,” Ghazinyan noted.
