Moderna Vaccine Distribution Details Provided by the Ministry
The American "Moderna" company's 50,000 doses of the "Spikevax" vaccine, donated by the Government of Lithuania to the Republic of Armenia, have arrived in Armenia.
Thanks to the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, the Ministry of Health, and the Ambassador of Lithuania to Armenia, Inga Stanyte-Tolockiene, for their support to Armenia in the fight against COVID-19.
We also extend our gratitude to the leadership of "Flagship Pioneering and Moderna Therapeutics" and to Nubar Afeyan, co-founder of the "Aurora" humanitarian initiative, for their efforts in bringing this initiative to life.
After distribution, the imported batch will be available at primary health care facilities and mobile vaccination points.
Like other vaccines used in Armenia, the "Spikevax" vaccine is intended for vaccination against the coronavirus among individuals aged 18 and older.
