Lithuania Provides Armenia with 50,000 Doses of Moderna Vaccine
Lithuania has transferred 50,000 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to Armenia, as announced by the Lithuanian Prime Minister a few days ago. According to reports from Armenpress, this information was confirmed by the Lithuanian Ministry of Health.
The vaccine transfer ceremony took place on the evening of October 4 at Vilnius Airport, as a delegation led by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was returning to Armenia.
Lithuania has provided humanitarian assistance in response to Armenia's request, based on a bilateral agreement through the EU vaccine exchange mechanism. During the official visit, the Ministers of Health of Lithuania and Armenia signed a cooperation agreement. This marks the first instance of Lithuania donating Moderna vaccine doses.
