Every Stone in the Village Holds the Fate of a Soldier, It Is a Reality: Kocharyan

We are all interested in uncovering the truths. There should not be any dark episodes concerning the army. Corruption must be eradicated. When I say that every stone in the village holds the fate of a soldier, that is a reality. If that stone is laid down and officials, especially the high-ranking generals, do not provide any explanation, then it has left the army, which means it affects the armaments that should fire to silence the opponent.

This was stated today by Andranik Kocharyan, the head of the National Assembly’s Defense and Security Committee, during a conversation with journalists, addressing the criminal case initiated against the former Minister of Defense David Tonoyan.

Kocharyan emphasized that the authorities do not solve problems by launching criminal cases. “You should be happy that the authorities do not have a complex in pursuing any problems against anyone through criminal cases,” Kocharyan noted.

The ruling party MP also referred to the statement made by the second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, asserting that the 44-day war started due to the government’s failure in negotiations and misguided policies, and ended with a deal. “I have no desire to comment on Robert Kocharyan because he makes such monumental statements in beautiful Armenian that it is simply ridiculous to talk about them. I will not speak on that. Since I also bear the Kocharyan surname, I always say, contact me as Andranik Kocharyan, let Robert Kocharyan remain within his name domain,” said Andranik Kocharyan.

As for the matter that Robert Kocharyan spoke about, the ruling party MP said, “If he knows, no one is preventing him from going to the investigative body and reporting.”
