What the Secretary of Armenia's Security Council and the Iranian Ambassador Discussed
The Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia, Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri. During the meeting, the parties addressed issues of regional security and stability.
The interlocutors outlined prospects for cooperation in addressing new regional challenges. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of Iran's Chabahar Port, both in the context of the region and the Armenian-Iranian economic relations, especially regarding the development of Syunik.
Both sides highly appreciated the readiness to continue cooperation within the framework of the Meghri Free Economic Zone and the North-South Transport Corridor. The parties also exchanged views on several other issues on the Armenian-Iranian agenda. Ambassador Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri emphasized that Tehran aims to develop relationships with the brotherly and friendly Armenia at the highest level.
