We Haven't Had a Few Hundred Prisoners, We Don't Have Them, Definitely Not a Few Hundred: Vahe Ghalumyan
During a conversation with reporters in the National Assembly, Vahe Ghalumyan, a member of the Civil Contract faction, stated that the Azerbaijani police post on the Goris-Kapan road segment is not located on the territory of the Republic of Armenia. When reporters inquired about its actual location, the government representative responded, "Where do you think it is located... this road, I repeat, passes through Azerbaijani territory in several places."
Speaking about the remarks made by the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, who noted that it is not convenient to negotiate while in a crouched position, Ghalumyan commented, "That is Robert Kocharyan's opinion; I do not share that view. Yes, we consider both the government and the opposition, the entire state, as having lost."
The parliamentarian mentioned that it is indeed possible to hand over maps to Azerbaijan based on humanitarian motivations in exchange for all prisoners. "We haven't had a few hundred prisoners; we don't have that many. We have prisoners, but I don't know the number – it's definitely not a few hundred," he said.
Ghalumyan assured that he felt safe while traveling along the Goris-Kapan road. "Border issues have always existed; if there is no demarcation and delineation of borders, issues will persist," he added.
