Updated Data on Our Casualties and Missing Persons Released

As a result of the aggressive war unleashed by Azerbaijan, the total number of military personnel and civilians who died in the Republic of Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia amounts to 3,788 individuals.

As of October 4, 2021, the whereabouts of 224 soldiers and 22 civilians remain unknown.

This information is reported by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, noting that to date, a total of 108 military personnel and civilians have been handed over to the Republic of Armenia by the Republic of Azerbaijan.

It is also stated that the investigation continues into the facts of the aggressive war unleashed and conducted by the military-political leadership of the Republic of Azerbaijan against the Republic of Artsakh, the use of mercenaries recruited in advance during military operations, the application of prohibited methods and means of warfare, the failure to differentiate between civilians and military personnel, and the systematic, premeditated targeting of the civilian population in the peaceful settlements of the Republic of Artsakh, particularly rendering the civilian population and civilian objects in the deep rear objects of indiscriminate attack and bombardment, constituting serious violations of the norms of international humanitarian law.
