Through Armenia to Europe: Iranian Official on the Importance of Cooperation with Armenia
The Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran, Heyrollah Hadami, commented on Iran's involvement in the construction of an alternative route for Iranian drivers in Tatev before his visit to Armenia. He stated, 'Azerbaijan will not participate in the transit road from Iran to Europe.'
He noted that Iran can collaborate with Armenia in the construction of the Tatev road, which allows easy access to Armenia and subsequently to Europe without crossing Azerbaijani territory. 'The construction of the remaining 15 km of the Tatev road will play a crucial role in facilitating Iran's movement and economic cooperation,' the deputy minister's words were quoted by Entekhab.
Hadami emphasized that this route from Iran to Europe is one of vital importance.
