This Government Must Go, Negotiating on Knees Is Inappropriate: Kocharian

We have ceased to be the guarantor of Artsakh's security, and today Artsakh is facing uncertainties. This was stated by the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharian, during a press conference held today.

He emphasized that the Armenian government is not speaking about Artsakh today, and it seems that they are washing their hands of Artsakh and directing all questions to Russia. “If a little more time passes, our society will also connect all questions to Russia, and I believe this is being done consciously. Unfortunately, we do not have any arguments for effective negotiations on the table. Every day I ask the question, what will happen in 3.5 years if Azerbaijan does not agree to the continuation of the mandate. I wonder if our government is asking this question,” he noted.

He emphasized that today the Armenian government is at the negotiation table, not around it. “A new era of peace is promised to be opened. Seriously, where are you? They are discussing you—without you. There is a way out of all this; this government must go, negotiating on knees is inappropriate.”
