Saakashvili Will Refuse Extradition to Ukraine, Attorney Says
The former president of Georgia, Mikhail Saakashvili, will refuse extradition to Ukraine, according to his attorney, Georgy Chivashvili, as reported by Life.ru. He added that his client has not stopped his hunger strike.
“His position is as follows: the fight must continue. Regarding the extradition, Saakashvili’s stance on this issue is that he came to Georgia, his homeland, and we plan to engage in political struggle. He will probably refuse extradition,” Chivashvili stated.
