Discussion on the Return of Armenian Prisoners of War and Civilians Held in Moscow

On October 4, a meeting took place between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and a delegation from the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, led by the Chairman of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan. Simonyan is in Russia on a working visit at the invitation of Valentina Matviyenko, Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia.

According to a press release from the Russian Foreign Ministry, during the meeting, current concepts of Armenian-Russian relations in the political, economic, and humanitarian spheres were discussed, as well as cooperation within international organizations, with an emphasis on parliamentary initiatives.

The issues of post-conflict recovery and security in the region were also in focus, along with the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group.
