Why Are Polyclinics Only Vaccinating with AstraZeneca Vaccine? Response from the Ministry
ArmDaily.am receives regular reports from citizens that vaccinations against coronavirus at polyclinics are being carried out exclusively with the Anglo-Swedish AstraZeneca vaccine. We have been informed that no other vaccines are available at these clinics, and the staff is unaware of when others might be available.
We contacted the Ministry of Health to clarify why other vaccines are not being administered at polyclinics. In an interview with the media, the head of the public relations department, Lilit Babakhanian, stated that redistributions are currently taking place, and both the 'Sputnik-V' and 'Sinopharm' vaccines are available.
It is worth noting that in Armenia, vaccinations are primarily conducted with 'CoronaVac' (only the second dose), 'AstraZeneca', 'Sputnik-V', and 'Sinopharm' for individuals aged 18 and above, based on desirability and voluntary principles.
