Details on the MAN Truck Accident

On September 30, a major traffic accident occurred in the Lori region. Around 11:00 PM, in the initial section of Tumanyan Street in Alaverdi, a 39-year-old resident of Kotayk, Mnatsakan T., overturned his MAN-brand truck under still unknown circumstances.

According to shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, driver Mnatsakan T. was transported to the Alaverdi Medical Center.

The accident caused part of the bridge's edge guardrails and a portion of the truck's cargo to fall about 10 meters off the bridge, spilling onto the railway tracks and damaging some communication wires, temporarily blocking the railway route.

Police arrived at the scene, and railway representatives worked for several hours to clear the tracks, which have since reopened.

Measures are currently underway to restore the damaged communication wires and ensure the normal operation of the railway.

Media reports indicate that the truck was loaded with several tonnes of potatoes.
