David Galstyan, known as 'Patron Davo', detained

David Galstyan, a businessman involved in arms supply and known as 'Patron Davo', has been detained. The Yerevan General Jurisdiction Court, presided over by Judge Gagik Poghosyan, approved the National Security Service (NSS) investigator's motion to select detention as a measure of restraint for David Galstyan. This was reported by attorney Armen Harutyunyan in a conversation with Factinfo.

According to the defender, a court appeal will be submitted against the detention decision. It is noteworthy that earlier, former Armenian Minister of Defense David Tonoyan was also detained.

It is recalled that yesterday, former Minister of Defense David Tonoyan and businessman David Galstyan, known as Patron Davo, were arrested in connection with a criminal case being investigated by the NSS, and a motion for detention was presented to the court. According to a statement from the NSS, David Tonoyan and David Galstyan have been involved as defendants in a case of embezzling 2,277,323,840 AMD and committing forgeries and dangerous public acts.
