Cardholders Unable to Access Their Bank Cards Due to Technical Issues in the "ArKa" Payment System

Technical issues have arisen within Armenia's "ArKa" payment system. This was reported to Sputnik Armenia by the company's office.

"The problem is related to the heavy load experienced in the system at the beginning of the month," ArKa representatives stated in response to our inquiry. For the same reason, the online banking service is currently non-operational.

The company clarified that to avoid possible issues due to the high load, they were forced to temporarily disconnect the program serving this service.

The Central Bank also informed Sputnik Armenia that the technical problems in the system began on September 29. Currently, specialists are working on the issue, and the Central Bank hopes that the system's operation will be restored in the coming hours.

It should be noted that numerous reports have been received regarding cardholders being unable to use their bank cards; ATMs are not functioning, and online transfers and payments cannot be processed.
