The Life of State Officials Will Improve by Another Step: 'Joghout'
According to the 'Joghout' newspaper, the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Labor and Social Issues will hold an extraordinary session on October 1. The agenda will include amendments and additions to the law on the remuneration of individuals occupying state positions and public service positions. The reporter on this issue is Ruben Sargsyan, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Issues.
According to our information, the government aims to further improve the living conditions of state officials. According to the draft, individuals holding official positions who previously used social package funds to cover healthcare expenses or organize vacations will now also direct these funds to pay for services provided by sports and health complexes as well as tuition fees.
It appears that in a post-war environment, where social and economic problems are increasing day by day, and individuals in need of disability support and medical treatment often require care abroad, officials are expanding their 'comfort zone' to be able to visit gyms and reimburse educational expenses for themselves or their children at the expense of social packages.
It is surprising that the chair of the committee, Heriknaz Tigranyan, who has constantly fought against corruption, considers this draft urgent and decided to hold an extraordinary session regarding it. By the way, there is a proposal to also cover the costs of mandatory PCR tests from social package funds, but the government remains silent on this matter.
