Lithuanian Government to Donate 50,000 Doses of Moderna Vaccine to Armenia

Continuing its support for other countries in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lithuanian government has decided to donate 50,000 doses of the Moderna vaccine to Armenia. This information was stated on the official website of the Lithuanian government.

The vaccine is expected to be delivered to Armenia by October 4. This is the first instance where Lithuania has donated the Moderna vaccine to any country.

According to the announcement, while discussing the allocation of vaccines to Armenia, the Lithuanian Prime Minister reminded that until now, only AstraZeneca vaccines had been transferred from Lithuania to Armenia. This year, Lithuania has already provided 200,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, and Moldova.

In a conversation with Auroranews, the Ministry of Health stated that they have not yet received official information regarding how the vaccines will be distributed and cannot comment further until the vaccines have entered the country.
