Health Ministry Retracts Policy: "Zhoghovurd"
According to the newspaper "Zhoghovurd", the Ministry of Health of Armenia is retracting a decision made by the minister. It should be reminded that, based on the order of Minister Anahit Avanesyan, starting tomorrow all institutions must require employees to present either a certification of vaccination or a negative test result for coronavirus upon returning to work. This decision was not only unconstitutional but also exhibited discriminatory treatment.
Furthermore, the disorganized situation has led to a reality where there have been huge queues at all laboratories where testing is conducted for several days now.
And just yesterday evening, it became known that it is not mandatory for employees to present the COVID test result or vaccination certificate exactly on October 1, although the law comes into force on that day. The Ministry of Health of Armenia informed “A1+” that citizens can present their test or vaccination document within 14 days, until October 14. During these 14 days, if any relevant institution conducts an inspection, they will not have the right to fine the employer or the employee.
It is perhaps not difficult to predict that other forms of mandate will also lose their relevance in the near future.
