Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy Sentenced to Imprisonment
Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy has been sentenced to imprisonment. A Paris court sentenced Sarkozy to one year in prison for illegal financing of his electoral campaign. The former president will serve his sentence at home under electronic surveillance.
It is worth recalling that Sarkozy was found guilty in the Paris court for the illegal financing of expenses related to his 2012 electoral campaign.
