Erdogan to Attend the Opening of Varanda Airport in Artsakh

The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will participate in the opening of the Varanda (Fizuli) international airport in Artsakh, which has come under the control of Baku following the end of the 44-day war. This announcement was made by Ibrahim Kalin, the official representative of the Turkish president’s office, during an interview with Haber Global.

“Restoration efforts of the ‘liberated territories’ in Karabakh are ongoing. If you see the results achieved in a year, you will be proud. The construction of Fizuli airport is nearing completion and it will soon open. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will also attend the opening ceremony,” Kalin stated.
