Decision Made to Appoint Deputy Military Prosecutor from Within the System: ‘Zhoghovurd’

According to information from the ‘Zhoghovurd’ newspaper, internal discussions have taken place at the Office of the Prosecutor General regarding the appointment of a deputy military prosecutor. The issue arose because the former deputy military prosecutor was dismissed from his position due to the involvement of his brother, who works at the Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Plant, which is currently under investigation by law enforcement. Among the plant's shareholders is opposition ‘Hayastan’ faction lawmaker Vahe Hakobyan.

Reportedly, a decision has been made to appoint a new deputy military prosecutor from within the system, and Gurgen Hakobyan, head of the Department for Especially Important Cases of the Military Prosecutor's Office, has been chosen and appointed to this position.
