Russian Peacekeepers Conduct Exercises to Prevent Violations and Ensure Security in Karabakh
In Nagorno-Karabakh, Russian peacekeepers have conducted complex operations aimed at combat readiness during exercises in their responsibility zone "North" to prevent potential violations and ensure security. This is stated in a report from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to reports, during the maneuvers, personnel performed tasks aimed at preventing provocative actions. "The effectiveness of task execution largely depends on the level of the servicemen's important professional qualities," emphasized peacekeeping forces representative Alexey Fomin.
Upon receiving a signal, peacekeepers executed actions aimed at moving out of their deployment area in a short time and seizing defensive positions. BTR-82A armored personnel carriers were used during the exercises.
It is noted that on November 9, leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan reached an agreement on the deployment of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh, and a statement was signed transferring seven regions of Artsakh to Azerbaijan, along with Shushi and Hadrut, except for one village, as well as villages in the Askeran and Martuni regions, and the villages of Talish and Mataghis in the Martakert region.
