The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction for the Kentron and Norq Marash administrative districts will consider the National Security Service's petition to place former Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan under detention tomorrow at 17:00. This information was provided to 24News by sources close to Davit Tonoyan.

According to the news outlet's source, the lawyers have requested time from the court to familiarize themselves with the case materials, and the court has decided to examine the issue of detention tomorrow.

It is noteworthy that the NSS conducted a search of Davit Tonoyan's residence today. Rumors indicate that Tonoyan has been arrested in connection with a criminal case being investigated by the NSS regarding the provision of substandard weapons in 2011, where the Ministry of Defense allegedly acquired aviation ammunition, specifically missiles, at prices higher than the market value.

Additionally, it has been reported that Major General Avetik Muradyan, the former head of the Armenian Armed Forces' aviation, has also been detained in connection with this case.
