Any thinking person had no doubt that Davit Tonoyan should be removed from office and prosecuted, Hasratyan says

Former Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan had to be removed from office at some point by the "velvet revolutionaries" and subsequently be subjected to criminal prosecution, any thinking person had no doubt about this. This was stated by the former press secretary of the Artsakh Defense Army, Senor Hasratyan, on his Facebook page.

“It was beyond doubt that the same should happen to many other responsible officials of the country’s military department, particularly to the Deputy Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Stepan Galstyan, and the former head of military aviation, Major General Avetik Muradyan... However, all of this was expected by a thinking person not because they would be unjustly deemed guilty while being "innocent", but because each of them had, voluntarily or under duress, supported the ideas of the ‘velvet revolution’ that were being imposed on the country,” Hasratyan wrote.

“That said, this is by no means the moment when we should interpret what has happened through the Dantonian spirit of the truth that 'revolution devours its children.' This is the moment when each of us must realize that any short-sighted step will inevitably lead to a place from which, once emerged, you will be deprived of yourself,” he added.
